Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure that can improve one’s appearance by altering the contour of the face. The procedure is designed to add size or to move forward a receding or “weak” chin. Chin contouring is often done in conjunction with other facial procedures (liposuction, facelift, and nose surgery). Chin advancement, genioplasty, gives a strong chin and balance to the face.

Candidates for chin augmentation

•A recessed chin not being caused from dental/jaw problems

• an unbalanced appearance of the lower part of the face

After surgery

You will have some swelling and bruising in the chin and neck area for 1 week after procedure.  A bandage will be placed over the chin area and remain for 5 days after procedure.
